Because "Carrows Cares", we respond to the specific needs of the many local communities we serve. Our individual restaurants sponsor community programs such as adopt-a-school, reading & scholastic incentives, school fundraiser nights, holiday fundraising and pie donations, in-kind donations to name just a few.

United Cerebral Palsy
Since 1986 Carrows has helped raise funds for local chapters of the United Cerebral Palsy Association.

Through our canister program, Carrows has helped UCP raise over $225,000 in the last five years to fund local UCP programs benefitting local children.

Many of our restaurants participate in the annual UCP "Casual Day" fundraising program.

In fact, Carrows Restaurants (in combination with sister company Coco's Bakery Restaurant) is the top corporate UCP sponsor in Southern California.

eScrip
Families with children can raise funds for their schools while dining in more than 100 participating Carrows Restaurants. eScrip is the electronic successor to traditional "paper scrip" programs, an education fundraising tool familiar to parents and other community boosters. Carrows donates four percent of the sales generated by eScrip participants to designated local schools and nonprofit organizations.

To participate, parents and other supporters of schools and nonprofit organizations register their designated credit cards, debit cards and grocery loyalty cards with eScrip. Every time a registered card is used at an eScrip merchant, the supporter earns a rebate that goes directly to the supporter's designated institutions. There are more than 50 merchansts participating in eScrip including SAFEWAY, VONS, Chevron, Carl's Jr., Eddie Bauer, and Budget Rent-a-Car.

Every month the enrolled organizations receive all merchant contributions made on behalf of participants, as well as a summarized report listing supporters, merchants, and contribution amounts. Parents and other supporters of local schools and other nonprofit organizations can sign up for eScrip by calling eScrip at 1-800-592-0942 or on the Internet at www.escrip.com
